Models chosen will be in the Spring 2008 Campus Couture show.
The Campus couture in association with ASU, and Students in Fashion (SIF), will conduct an open model audition to both students and non-students in the USU ballroom.
Check in is from 4:00 to 5:00, while the actual audition takes place from 5:00 to 8:00. Models are required to be 5’7” or taller, fit into a 10 dress size or smaller and bring 3” heels to walk in.
This is the first out of two auditions for the campus couture show held on May 7, 2008. The campus’ 18th annual fashion show is designed, produced and manage by CSULB students.
“We are encouraging CSULB students to tell a friend about the auditions” says Samantha Cornett. Cornett is this year’s head coordinator of the show.
“The show is an opportunity for CSULB designers to showcase their creations in a formal runway type show,” says Cornett. Senior Designers and the top ten juniors will participate in the show as well as the some “sophomores displayed on the side”.
The Campus Couture show takes about two semesters to organize and it’s cost vary from $25,000-$35,000. The money is fundraised through various activities done by students. “It’s a lot of work, I did not know how much is in it, I love it (coordinating fashion show) it’s a good thing” said Cornett about the grueling schedule in organizing the campus couture show.
Second model audition will be held in the spring semester.
